Detailed Answer

Amr Aas has actually composed some poetry and read it to Muawiyah, and in it has had no choice but to praise Imam Ali (as). The whole poem has been cited in the precious book of Al-Ghadir of Allamah Amini. Because of its length, we will only mention its opening here:

The translation of some verses of this poem according to some poets are as such:

The master that through the prophet by divine decree      Became the master and judge of everyone else

So much regarding him did Mustafa       Advise his nation out of faithfulness

The testaments of the pure-faithed prophet         About the status of Ali, that trustworthy apostle

I heard much in many places      That the prophet explicitly pointed him out by name

At the day of Ghadir that master of all prophets  Climbed he pulpit like the moon in the sky

By the command of the Glorious Lord    With a loud voice and distinction that master

At that time when the hands of the two were locked in each other He introduced this precious gem to everyone

He said “من کنت مولاه       So that everyone would recognize that master
