Summary of question
If a Quran is boxed in a decorative manner for display purposes, is it necessary to recite it?
question
When a person gives you a copy of the Quran that is boxed in a decorative manner for display purposes, is it wajib or mustahab to open and read it even though it is meant for decorative purposes?
Concise answer
The Quran is a book of guidance and life; it has been sent down to humanity to turn to it, read it and adhere to it. Never should it be used for decorative purposes. Given the details provided in your message, it is necessary that a part, if not all, of the said Quran be read.
