آیا پیامبر(ص) این سخن را فرمود: خداوند لعنت کند پدر و مادری را که فرزندانشان را نادیده می‌گیرند. آیا این حدیث صحیح است؟
Concise answer

در یکی از فرازهای وصیتی طولانی از رسول خدا(ص) به امام علی(ع) چنین آمده است:

«... یَا عَلِیُّ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ وَالِدَیْنِ حَمَلَا وَلَدَهُمَا عَلَى عُقُوقِهِمَا...»؛[i] علی! خداوند لعنت کند پدر و مادری را که با رفتار خود موجب آن می‌شوند که فرزندشان آنان را عاق کند.

و در ادامه می‌فرماید:

«یَا عَلِیُّ یَلْزَمُ الْوَالِدَیْنِ مِنْ عُقُوقِ وَلَدِهِمَا مَا یَلْزَمُ الْوَلَدَ لَهُمَا مِنْ عُقُوقِهِمَا»؛ یا علی! همان‌گونه که عاق والدین شدن فرزندان، پیامدهای منفی برای آنان دارد، همان پیامدها متوجه پدر و مادرانی می‌شود که فرزندانشان آنان را عاق کرده‌اند.

بر اساس قانون الهی همان‌گونه که هر انسانی نسبت به دیگری وظیفه‌ای دارد، در مقابل همان فرد حقی هم بر گردن افرادی دارد که وظیفه خود را نسبت به آنان انجام می‌دهد، و تنها خدا است که به گردن تمام موجودات حق دارد و هیچ موجودی بر او حقی ندارد  البته با این وجود نیز خداوند حقوقی را به نفع بندگان اعلام کرده است.

مطابق این قاعده، پدر و مادر اگر بخواهند عاق فرزندشان نشوند، باید وظایف خویش را به درستی انجام داده و با تربیت فرزندی خوب، آمادگی حضور مثبت وی در جامعه را فراهم کنند.

از این‌رو پدران و مادرانی که توجه کافی به فرزندان خود نداشته و وظایف خود را نسبت به آنان به خوبی انجام نمی‌دهند، مشمول لعن الهی و به طور طبیعی لعن پیامبر(ص) و دیگر اولیای خدا قرار خواهند گرفت.

گفتنی است؛ این روایت با آن‌که گفت‌وگوهایی در ارتباط با برخی راویان آن مطرح شده است؛ اما با این وجود از نگاه روایت‌شناسان، روایتی صحیح ارزیابی شده است.[ii]
